This season, titled Emotion Abounds, presents a slate of powerful and emotional programs featuring favorite composers of the GCO, including Mozart, Schubert, Schoenburg, and, of course, Haydn, who will be celebrated in the annual America\u2019s Haydn Festival on April 5th, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The season also includes a number of special events, such as the annual Family Series concert featuring Tchaikovsky\u2019s and Duke Ellington\u2019s Nutcracker Suite with a special reading by celebrated children\u2019s author Anna Celenza, and the holiday favorite Winter Baroque. The season will culminate with the 2nd annual BBQ, Brews &amp; Beethoven featuring Copland\u2019s Appalachian Suite, local craft beer and delicious BBQ.<\/p>\n<p>Individual ticket prices to Transfigured Night range from $18.00 to $30.00 with discounts given to students and active duty military or reserve. Works from Felix Mendelssohn and Jacques Ibert lead up to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart\u2019s powerful&nbsp;<em>Gran Partita<\/em>&nbsp;serenade, a &#8220;signature&#8221; work for the GCO featured on our debut recording and received national media praise.<\/p>\n<p><strong>America\u2019s Haydn Festival<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sunday, April 5th, 4:00pm<\/p>\n<p>Franz Joseph Haydn \u2013&nbsp;<em>Symphony No. 49 in F minor, &#8220;La passione&#8221;<\/em><br \/>\nFranz Joseph Haydn \u2013&nbsp;<em>&#8220;Lord Nelson&#8221; Mass<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The final Masterworks concert honors the late Franz Joseph Haydn at our second Annual America\u2019s Haydn Festival.
