Chairman Tommy Bates, Vice Chair Barry Kulback (\u201979) and Secretary Casey Jenkins were selected to lead the organization.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_457975\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/APSU-Foundation-elected-officers-Tommy-Bates-Barry-Kulback-and-Casey-Jenkins.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-457975\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-457975\" title=\"APSU Foundation elected officers (L to R) Tommy Bates, Barry Kulback and Casey Jenkins during Spring Dinner.\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/APSU-Foundation-elected-officers-Tommy-Bates-Barry-Kulback-and-Casey-Jenkins-480x240.jpg\" alt=\"APSU Foundation elected officers (L to R) Tommy Bates, Barry Kulback and Casey Jenkins during Spring Dinner.\" width=\"480\" height=\"240\"\/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-457975\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">APSU Foundation elected officers (L to R) Tommy Bates, Barry Kulback and Casey Jenkins during Spring Dinner.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The new officers will serve on the executive committee of the APSU Foundation, along with the sub-committee chairs.<\/p>\n<p>Sub-committee chairs include Doug Downey as chair of the athletics sub-committee, Hampton Bourne and Marydith Young as chairs of the creative arts sub-committee, Suzanne Langford as chair of the investment sub-committee and Dr. Jeannie Beauchamp as chair of the fund development sub-committee.<\/p>\n<p>Bates is the president and COO of Legends Bank in Clarksville. He has worked as a banker in the Middle Tennessee area for more than 30 years. He received a bachelor\u2019s degree and a master\u2019s degree from Middle Tennessee State University with an emphasis in Finance.<\/p>\n<p>He moved to the area in 1996 to work with the Clarksville office of First American National Bank. He also previously served on the foundation\u2019s fund development sub-committee.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI look forward to working with the foundation board and advancement staff over the next year to continue making Austin Peay a premier destination for students,\u201d Bates said. \u201cIt\u2019s an honor to serve as chairman and be able to see all the great things happening on and around campus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kulback graduated from Austin Peay in 1979 with a bachelor\u2019s degree in physics. Over the years, he has contributed to various University events, scholarships, organizations and athletics programs. Kulback is retired from Trane. This year, he and his wife, Maggie, served as Champions for Govs Give, Austin Peay\u2019s annual 72-hour online fundraising campaign.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been a board member of the foundation since 2010, most recently serving as chair of the fund development committee,\u201d Kulback said.&nbsp;\u201cI am excited and honored to now serve as board vice chair and look forward to working with the board membership, board and foundation officers, the APSU Office of University Advancement and University administration to raise Austin Peay to the next level.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[320left]Jenkins, also a 2019 Govs Give Champion, is a longtime friend of the University. She is a former teacher and the current internet manager for her family\u2019s local Ford-Lincoln-Honda dealership, Jenkins &amp; Wynne.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m a third generation proud Peay supporter,\u201d Jenkins said. \u201cFor the past few years, I have served on the foundation\u2019s athletics sub-committee. This has given me the opportunity to learn about the intricacies of the various APSU departments at the foundation meetings.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am honored to serve as the secretary of the foundation. My desire is to increase communication between departments and boards, and to improve awareness between the campus and community.
