\"Dunbar<\/a>Clarksville, TN<\/strong> – Dunbar Cave State Natural Area<\/a> has been a State Park since 1973. The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.<\/p>\n

Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs during the year. There are programs for children and adults.<\/p>\n

The upcoming events include: Get Out of Your Shell, Unknown Realms and World Snake Day.<\/p>\n

Get Out of Your Shell<\/strong><\/p>\n

Time:<\/strong> 2:00pm – 3:00pm<\/p>\n

Join Sidney in the A-V room to learn about animal adaptations and boost your confidence with fun improv. games. This is a free program but please register in advance as there is limited space.<\/p>\n

Unknown Realms<\/strong><\/p>\n

Time: <\/span><\/strong>2:00pm – 4:00pm<\/p>\n

Already taken our regular cave tour? Then join us for an extended journey into the depths. We will get off the normal tour route and explore some of the more remote areas of the cave. No crawling is required but some passages are tight so you may get muddy.<\/p>\n

Due to the rugged nature of this route participants need to be at least 10 years old and in good physical condition. Ceiling heights are very low in many places. Flashlights (no cell phones or headlamps) and sturdy shoes or boots are required. Only 10 spaces are available for this very special tour so book now!<\/p>\n

Join SIR Marley to celebrate World Snake Day (observed July 16th). Celebrate early with us so that you may share your newfound Knowledge with others when the day comes. Mildred (our speckled king snake) will be present for discussion.

Dunbar Cave State Park Programs Information<\/h3>\n

Programs are free unless noted otherwise. All programs require reservations by the Deadline Listed. Programs with no reservations by the deadline will be canceled.<\/p>\n

All programs begin at the Visitor Center unless another site is listed.<\/p>\n

Children must be accompanied by an adult (one adult for each three children).<\/p>\n

Age limits are definite \u2013 please do not sign up a child who is younger or older than the age limits given.<\/p>\n

Dunbar Cave State Park is located at 401 Old Dunbar Cave Road, Clarksville Tennessee.<\/p>\n
