<\/a>Austin Peay State University Leadership Students host Science Show for Little Govs Child Learning Center. (APSU)<\/p><\/div>\n

On a Thursday afternoon, APSU students Harrison Welch, Gretchen Heinzelman, David Nikolao and Mackenzie Rose hosted a science show for the Little Govs Child Learning Center on campus.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn this class we are required to conduct a service project for the community,\u201d Nikolao said. \u201cMy group and I have decided that our service project would be a little more out of the box.\u201d<\/p>\n
As part of the science show, Austin Peay\u2019s chemistry club, Chi Epsilon Mu, created \u201csmoking juice\u201d for the children, which they were able to drink. The club also made \u201celephant toothpaste,\u201d which resulted in a large mound of foam.<\/p>\n
Del Square Psi, the student physics club, used electricity to simulate the theme song from \u201cStar Wars,\u201d and club members amazed the children by turning a balloon into a small fireball.<\/p>\n
The leadership class, taught by APSU Dean of Students Greg Singleton, teaches students through hands-on experience to become successful leaders.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
