The March Art Walk will be held March 7th, 2019 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the shops and galleries on Public Square, Franklin Street, and Strawberry Alley.<\/p>\n
The participating businesses are listed below as well as a description of the work they will be exhibiting and services they will be offering during the event.<\/p>\n
Downtown Artists Co-op (96 Franklin Street)<\/h3>\n
The DAC is an association of talented local artists and interested patrons dedicated to promoting the visual arts in the Clarksville-Montgomery County area.<\/p>\n
Our objectives are to sponsor art exhibitions of work by Co-op members and regional artists, to provide continuing support for the Co-op and its membership through the sale of art work, to encourage arts education with outreach programs and scholarship fundraisers, and to develop membership services which directly support the arts community.<\/p>\n

\u201cI N F I N I T Y\u201d \u2013 Art Exhibit by Hope Brill & D.C. Thomas<\/strong> Hope Brill and D.C.Thomas are happy to announce the upcoming art exhibit titled \u201cI N F I N I T Y\u201d, which will be on view at the Downtown Artists\u2019 Cooperative & Gallery throughout the month of March, 2019.<\/p>\n Close friends and fellow artists, both Hope Brill and D.C.Thomas are attempting to showcase original artworks inspired by the infinite variations of color, shapes and forms which could be achieved through a multitude of techniques with the help of brushes, knives, paints and household items.<\/p>\n Most of the compositions in this art exhibit are rendered on large surfaces, primed panels and canvases \u2013 meant to engage the viewer into contemplating the artists\u2019 intentions.<\/p>\n This is Hope Brill\u2019s first solo exhibit, having invited D.C.Thomas to take part in her endeavors with her latest works.<\/p>\n Hope Brill is featuring celebratory artworks on 4ft x 4ft wood panels depicting thought provoking and emotional context of a woman\u2019s journey through life.<\/p>\n Several of these paintings have been completed through hydro techniques, while others through traditional methods, using brushes and knives. Hope Brill has focused on successfully transitioning industrial hydro techniques into the art world through large contemporary and abstract pieces that involved great endeavors.<\/p>\n [320left]D.C. Thomas\u2019 artistic intentions for \u201cI N F I N I T Y\u201d are in correlation with celebrating femininity and the history of women, as March is Women\u2019s History Month in the USA. She also means to reveal the studies of a feminine figure as inspired by the Venus figurines (Upper Paleolithic statuettes portraying women) and sculptures that belong to the Hamangia Culture.<\/p>\n This event is generously sponsored by F&M Bank, Glenn Edgin, The Framemaker, Sango Wine & Liquors, Bobby Roylance, Martha Elliott, Dan and Jodie Hanley.<\/p>\n The live music for this event will be provided by the \u201cA Smooth Foursome\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cA Smooth Foursome\u201d is a group of saxophonists from Murray State University. \nThe Framemaker proudly presents new work by Clarksville, Tennessee artist Cindy Marsh. This exhibit is part of Clarksville\u2019s First Thursday Art Walkon March 7, 2019. An opening reception will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
