Austin Peay State University (APSU)<\/h2>\n

\"AustinClarksville, TN<\/strong> – Internationally renowned brass group the Gomalan Brass Quintet is making its first tour stop of 2019 \u2013 and its first and only scheduled stop in America \u2013 at Austin Peay State University (APSU).<\/p>\n

The Italy-based group will perform 7:30pm Saturday, January 26th at APSU\u2019s George and Sharon Mabry Concert Hall, at Eighth and Marion streets.<\/p>\n

The group\u2019s five musicians also will be in residence as the Acuff Chair of Excellence, working with brass players from throughout the region on January 25th and 26th, during Austin Peay\u2019s inaugural Smash Bang Brass Bash.<\/p>\n

Gomalan Brass Quintet is known for its live shows, which are virtuosic, encompass all music genres \u2013 from classical and jazz to movie scores \u2013 and entertain all age groups.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe theatrical wit of their annually renewed performances has seduced both audiences and critics worldwide,\u201d said Zubin Mehta, music director of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor emeritus of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.<\/p>\n
