Clarksville, TN<\/strong> – Austin Peay State University (APSU) is accepting student applications for two Military Alumni Chapter scholarships for the 2019-20 academic year.<\/p>\nThe APSU Military Alumni Chapter was founded in October 2012 for the purpose of supporting and recognizing military-related APSU alumni.<\/p>\n

In just three short years, the organization was able to endow two significant scholarships:<\/h4>\n\n- The Military Alumni Chapter Scholarship Endowment<\/strong> was established by the chapter on July 31st, 2013.<\/li>\n
- The CSM(R) Sidney Brown Scholarship Endowment<\/strong> was created on July 17th, 2014, to honor the accomplishments of retired Command Sergeant Major Sidney Brown, an APSU alumnus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Endowments are permanently restricted funds managed by the Investment Committee of the Austin Peay State University Foundation.<\/p>\n

Qualified applicants will include any active duty service member, honorably discharged service member, spouse or dependent of a service member or student enrolled in the APSU ROTC program. Current students must be in good standing and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 to be eligible.<\/p>\n
Award amounts will vary based on the value of the endowment and the spending plan of the Foundation. Funds should be used for educational expenses only.<\/p>\n
[320left]To renew a scholarship, recipients must be enrolled as full-time students at APSU, meet University admission requirements and reapply each school year.<\/p>\n
The deadline to submit an application is March 1st, 2019.
