I have a class, and they\u2019re learning to work with clients. They can partner up and make a logo and you can pay them and they get the experience.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The company agreed to the idea, and on a warm morning in September, the five Austin Peay State University Design Center students put on business attire and drove two hours south to meet their new design client.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the day, Jordan Ennis, president and CEO of Coca-Cola Bottling Works of Tullahoma, educated the students on the company\u2019s more than 100-year history, while also filling them in on the company\u2019s values.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_439527\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/APSU-graphic-design-students-create-new-logo-for-Coca-Cola-Bottling-Works-of-Tullahoma-2.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-439527\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-439527\" title=\"Austin Peay State University Graphic Design student Ebony Walton examines an old coke dispenser.\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/APSU-graphic-design-students-create-new-logo-for-Coca-Cola-Bottling-Works-of-Tullahoma-2-480x320.jpg\" alt=\"Austin Peay State University Graphic Design student Ebony Walton examines an old coke dispenser.\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\"\/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-439527\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Austin Peay State University Graphic Design student Ebony Walton examines an old coke dispenser.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe pride ourselves on being family oriented,\u201d he said. \u201cThe most important thing for our family, for four generations, the most important thing is the 250 associates that make up the family. Our success as a family business is because of the success of the Coca-Cola family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the ensuing months, the APSU Design Center students \u2013 Ebony Walton, Alyson Williamson, Al Best, Graham Byrd and Clarissa Gunn \u2013 worked collaboratively to meet their client\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n<p>[320left]Earlier this month, they presented Ennis with an official logo that he approved. Byrd, a military veteran, added that something as simple as the soft drink company\u2019s logo can help soldiers not feel so home sick.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I was in Afghanistan, home felt so far away,\u201d he said. \u201cThere were phone calls home to my wife \u2013 sometimes they worked, sometimes they didn\u2019t. Anything that you can grab and say \u2018that\u2019s a piece of where I\u2019m from\u2019 is huge.
