Dunbar Cave State Park will be holding an &#8220;After Thanksgiving Hike&#8221; Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTennessee\u2019s state parks are once again offering the opportunity to get outdoors the day after Thanksgiving to engage in healthy, fun activities,\u201d said Brock Hill, deputy commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. \u201cIt\u2019s a chance to explore the state parks with loved ones around the holidays, with skilled rangers leading the way.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_313724\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Dunbar-Cave-State-Park-11.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-313724\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-313724\" title=\"Dunbar Cave State Park Visitor Center.\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Dunbar-Cave-State-Park-11-480x320.jpg\" alt=\"Dunbar Cave State Park Visitor Center.\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\"\/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-313724\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dunbar Cave State Park Visitor Center.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Hikes for all ages and abilities will be hosted at state parks from Memphis to Johnson City, including easy, peaceful strolls and rugged excursions. Each hike will be led by an experienced ranger, trained in interpreting the ecological, cultural and historical significance of Tennessee\u2019s state parks.<\/p>\n<p>Tennessee State Parks will feature the best that Tennessee lands have to offer, from hikes along historical and interpretive trails to stunning views of waterfalls, peaks and plateaus. Some hikes are designed for novice hikers at short distances, while others are lengthier and geared toward more experienced hikers.<\/p>\n<h3>After Thanksgiving Hike<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Park:<\/strong> Dunbar Cave State Park<br \/>\n<strong>Date:<\/strong> Wednesday, November 23rd, 2018<br \/>\n<strong>Time:<\/strong> 10:00am &#8211; 11:00am<\/p>\n<p>Recover from your turkey coma by hiking! Join Ranger Adam for a one mile hike on our Short Loop Trail.
