<\/a>Janine and Janesa Wine stand in the Austin Peay dorm room where Janine lived 28 years ago and where Janesa will live this year.<\/p><\/div>\n

Janine didn\u2019t mean the same building; she meant the exact same room. On August 23rd, 2018 Janesa Wine, a freshman nursing major, moved into the room where her mother once lived nearly three decades earlier.<\/p>\n
\u201cI said to my roommate, \u2018my mom was in this dorm room, and it would be really cool to be in this room,\u2019\u201d Janesa said. \u201cIt means a lot to me because me and my mom are really close.\u201d<\/p>\n
After contacting the APSU Office of Housing, Residence Life and Dining, Janesa was able to reserve her mother\u2019s old room. Last Thursday, the pair unpacked the younger Wine\u2019s belongings while Janine reminisced about her time at APSU.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was really neat that she chose to come here and wanted to be in my room,\u201d Janine said. \u201cNot only is she my namesake, she\u2019s following in my steps where I went to school and living in the same dorm.
