But, it\u2019s also played host to community events like the Go Commando Half Marathon, the Customs House Museum\u2019s Flying High, and the inaugural Bacon &amp; Bourbon Festival planned for August 24th, 2018.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_430463\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Old-Glory-Distilling-Company.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-430463\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-430463\" title=\"Old Glory Distilling Company\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/Old-Glory-Distilling-Company-480x228.jpg\" alt=\"Old Glory Distilling Company\" width=\"480\" height=\"228\"\/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-430463\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Old Glory Distilling Company<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Bacon &amp; Bourbon will feature a multitude of culinary partners from across the region. Restaurants and caterers will have menu items on-site featuring either bacon or bourbon as an ingredient. Old Glory Distilling will offer craft cocktails available, with one craft cocktail included per purchased ticket.<\/p>\n<p>Outside, live music and a relaxed atmosphere make this the perfect place to hang out with friends and enjoy the evening. Guests can shop from vendors, play yard games, and watch cooking demonstrations. I was a full-time firefighter for nearly four years, and I absolutely loved every minute of it. I worked every third day for 24 hours and then I\u2019d have the next 48 hours off. That 48 hours off was almost entirely dedicated to this fascination-turned-idea of opening a craft distillery in my hometown.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For the 27-year-old Cunningham, the idea behind the distillery was so much more than simply owning a business. \u201cMore than anything,\u201d he says, \u201cit was an opportunity to bring something to the city that everyone would be excited about and proud to call their own. This is not my distillery.<\/p>\n<p>[320left]This is Clarksville\u2019s Old Glory Distilling Company, and the products we proudly craft are a representation of the hardworking, patriotic, and unyielding character that embodies our city and this great country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The focus at Old Glory Distilling Company is in producing small batch, artisan distilled spirits \u2013 primarily premium Tennessee Whiskey and Bourbon Whiskey, products that take a while to properly age.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, Old Glory offers their Jumper\u2019s Stash White Rum, Smooth Shine Tennessee Moonshine, and Tennessee Vodka. The first small batch of Old Glory Bourbon was introduced in December 2017.
