\"TennesseeClarksville, TN<\/strong> – The 2018 Free Fishing Day is this Saturday, June 9th, 2018 when anyone may fish free without a license in Tennessee\u2019s public waters.<\/p>\n

TWRA and Clarksville Parks and Recreation will be holding their annual Youth Fishing Rodeo at Liberty Park’s pond on Saturday, June 9th, 2018 from 7:00am to 9:00am. Hot Dogs and Drinks will be available.<\/p>\n

Over 300 participants are expected. The age limit for the event is 0 to 16 years of age.<\/p>\n

TWRA and City of Clarksville Parks & Recreation’s Annual Youth Fishing Rodeo is being held Saturday, June 9th at the Liberty Park Pond.<\/p><\/div>\n


\nParticipants can pick up a form to pre-register at Wal-Mart prior to the event.<\/p>\n

Liberty Park is located at 1188 Cumberland Drive in Clarksville, TN.<\/p>\n

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency provides the annual free day in hopes of increasing interest in fishing. The day allows anyone the opportunity to try this great outdoor sport, especially children to celebrate fishing as a wholesome and healthy recreational option.<\/p>\n

In addition, children ages 15 and younger may fish without a license beginning on Free Fishing Day through the following Friday (June 15th).<\/p>\n

The day and week are annual events in Tennessee and are great opportunities to introduce children to the enjoyment and excitement of a day on the water catching fish. The TWRA is among several organizations planning special fishing events, primarily for youngsters. The TWRA annually stocks several thousand pounds of fish for various events.<\/p>\n

Free Fishing Day and Week apply to Tennessee\u2019s public waters, TWRA owned and operated lakes, and state park facilities. Some privately owned pay lakes and ponds continue to charge during this special day and week.
