Crow in 1937 is being awarded over 80 years later by the Nashville Film Festival,\u201d Bullis, APSU assistant professor of communication, said.<\/p>\n<p>For the 8-minute documentary, Heuston and Bullis turned Crow\u2019s 16-millimeter footage into an intimate exploration of the city by a prominent local family.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>At 12:15pm on Tuesday, June 7th, the community will get to see a free screening of the award-winning film, followed by a discussion with the two professors, at the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center\u2019s Art and Lunch Event. This event, which will be held in conjunction with the museum\u2019s \u201cOur Town: Stories from within Clarksville\u2019s Doorways\u201d exhibit, will be in the museum\u2019s concert hall.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to share this film with the community at this event,\u201d Heuston, interim chair of the APSU Department of Communication, said. \u201cI know they would enjoy seeing familiar buildings and faces from the past.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>More than 5,000 short films were submitted to this year\u2019s Nashville Film Festival, with only 215 being selected. \u201cClarksville 1937\u201d was considered the top documentary film in Tennessee for this category.<\/p>\n<p>For information on the film, contact Heuston at <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"mailto:leek@apsu.edu\">leek@apsu.edu<\/a> or Bullis at <a href=\"mailto:bullisk@apsu.edu\">bullisk@apsu.edu<\/a>.
