Diehr&#8217;s work will be on display throughout the month of May. He is Professor Emeritus at Austin Peay State University, whose work has been exhibited regionally, nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>Other downtown businesses, Like Yada Yada Cafe, and Edwards&#8217;s Steakhouse hosted artists, or stayed open late to support the ever-growing Art Walk. Clarksville&#8217;s flagship venue for the arts, Downtown Artists Co-op have two artists featured for May.<\/p>\n<p>Fantastic Chemistry: Cheating Sameness, features works by Regina Mick and Jane Olson.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m a mixed-media artist,\u201d Mick said. \u201cI mainly focus on abstract acrylic work, but I also do collage. Jane does watercolor, and some collage as well. Together, we brought a lot of different mediums to the show.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The two artists filled the walls of the DAC with more than 30 pieces of original art. Singer\/Songwriter Bobby Keel performed for the larger than usual First Thursday crowd, and the opening was a success.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel like the response was great,\u201d Mick said. \u201cIt was one of the best Art Walks that I&#8217;ve been to. We had a packed house, and ran out of food pretty quickly. Between us, Jane and I sold between 1\/3 and \u00bd of the art on display. We also saw a lot of new faces. The normal Art Walk crowd was there, but it was really great to see so many new faces.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mick and Olson&#8217;s artwork will remain on display until the end of May.
