Also, it offered two big things that I wanted\u2014affordability and a quality education.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_415151\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/APSU-English-major-Madison-Hobson-.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-415151\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-415151\" title=\"APSU English major Madison Hobson\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/APSU-English-major-Madison-Hobson--480x320.jpg\" alt=\"APSU English major Madison Hobson \" width=\"480\" height=\"320\"\/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-415151\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">APSU English major Madison Hobson<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Hobson, now a senior English major, wanted to stand out, and that\u2019s what she\u2019s done at Austin Peay.<\/p>\n<p>During her time on campus, she\u2019s served as president of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and president of the APSU Admissions Office\u2019s Govs R.O.W. (Registration, Orientation and Welcome) Team.<\/p>\n<p>Hobson is also a Govs Ambassador, helping prospective students gain an appreciation for campus, and she\u2019s spent the last year as a Student Life and Engagement intern.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeing a Governor means so much more to me than a mascot; it means that I have the power to bring change and be change,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>After graduation, Madison will pursue a master\u2019s degree in Higher Education Administration at Auburn University. That institution recently awarded her a prestigious graduate assistantship for Auburn\u2019s inter-fraternity council.
