This series presents impressionistic figurative paintings in a world where the real and the imagined appear one and the same. This exhibition is sponsored in part by Nashville Arts Magazine.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Town (Stories of Clarksville)<\/strong><br \/>\nFebruary 28th \u2013 September 30th | Memory Lane<\/p>\n<p>An exhibition of regional stories featuring photographs and artifacts from our collection, including: the jail, Trinity Episcopal Church, the Court House, the Capitol Theater, and more.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Celebrating Women in Business<\/strong><br \/>\nMarch 6th \u2013 April 29th | The Leaf Chronicle Lobby<\/p>\n<p>In celebration of Women\u2019s History Month, this exhibition uses objects and images from the Museum\u2019s permanent collection to celebrate local businesses throughout Clarksville\u2019s history that have been owned or founded by women. She did her graduate work in printmaking at Gonzaga University, Spokane, Washington.<\/p>\n<p>She holds signature status in many organizations, including the American Water Color Society, and has exhibited her paintings internationally in countries such as France, Turkey, and China.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seasons: Frank Majors<\/strong><br \/>\nMarch 6th \u2013 May 27th | Jostens Gallery<\/p>\n<p>Regional artist Frank Major\u2019s photography is on display in the Jostens Gallery.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Narrative Illusions: The Visions of Mindy Herrin<\/strong><br \/>\nJanuary 16th \u2013 May 6th | Orgain &amp; Bruner Galleries<\/p>\n<p>Mindy Herrin\u2019s narrative sculpture is created with a combination of metal and alternative materials. Organic by nature, her forms use materials for their tactile properties, creating pieces that move, have the appearance of flesh, and hint to the adventures of being female in everyday life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Art of Mixed Media Inspired Artists<\/strong><br \/>\nJanuary 16th \u2013 March 11th | Kimbrough Gallery<\/p>\n<p>Mixed Media Inspired Artists (MMIA) is an artists collective founded by Sandra Washburn. Specializing in acrylic\/mixed media, this exhibit showcases artwork from their members.<\/p>\n<p>[320center]<\/p>\n<h3>Activities<\/h3>\n<p><strong>First Thursday Art Walk<\/strong><br \/>\nThursday, March 1st, 5:00pm &#8211; 7:00pm<\/p>\n<p>The museum is open to the public with free admission as part of Downtown Clarksville\u2019s First Thursday Art Walk.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Second Saturday Free Admission: Mixed Media Art Activities<\/strong><br \/>\nSponsored by Legends Bank | Saturday, March 10th<\/p>\n<p>The Customs House Museum &amp; Cultural Center is open with free admission from 10:00am to 5:00pm as part of our Second Saturday Free Admission Day! Please join us in the Family Art Studio as we use a variety of materials, such as construction paper, yarn, and fabric, to construct creative art pieces similar to those found in the exhibition \u201cThe Art of Mixed Media Inspired Artists\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Museum guests of all ages will have fun creating their own works of art and comparing them to the ones in the current exhibition, located in the Kimbrough Gallery next to the Family Art Studio.<\/p>\n<p>This Second Saturday is sponsored by Legends Bank.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Former U.S. Congressman Bob Clement Presentation &amp; Book Signing<\/strong><br \/>\nSunday, March 25th, 2:00pm \u2013 4:00pm | Free Admission to Event<\/p>\n<p>Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan will host a special book signing event featuring former U.S. Congressman Bob Clement (D-TN). Clement will give a presentation on the current political climate in the country, and read a few passages from his memoir, &#8220;Presidents, Kings and Convicts: My Journey from the Tennessee Governor&#8217;s Residence to the Halls of Congress.&#8221; Following the program, Clement will be on-hand to sign copies of the book, which will be available for purchase at Seasons: The Museum Store.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Train Sale at Seasons: The Museum Store<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During the month of March, Seasons: The Museum Store is offering 10% off all train-related merchandise! This includes toys, train conductor outfits, and more. Museum Members can use their discount for a total of 20% off when they show their membership card.<\/p>\n<p>All activities are free with your museum membership. Our volunteer engineers \u201cride the rails\u201d every Sunday afternoon from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.<\/p>\n<p>Regular museum hours are 10:00am to 5:00pm Tuesday through Saturday, and 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Sundays.
