The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.<\/p>\n<p>Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs during the year. Join Ranger Adam in the AV Room and learn about how Native Americans utilized the cave for thousands of years. Topics will include the Mississippian Era Cave Art. Meet us in the AV room to play a fun jeopardy style game to put your knowledge to the test. Learn about the types of waterfowl that temporarily call Dunbar Cave home. All programs require reservations by the Deadline Listed.
