\"ClarksvilleClarksville, TN<\/strong> – On Tuesday, January 30th, 2018 the Clarksville Association of Realtors\u00ae (CAR) took part in a Realtor \u201cDay on the Hill\u201d at the state capital in Nashville.<\/p>\n

This event, which had over 400 Tennessee Realtors in attendance, is intended to give Realtors from all over the state a chance to meet their elected officials and speak on matters important to real estate and homeowners.<\/p>\n

Members of the CAR held meetings with Rep. Jay Reedy, Rep. Curtis Johnson, Rep. Joe Pitts, Rep. Tim Wirgau, and Sen. Mark Green.<\/p>\n

“The Clarksville Association of Realtors is an active and engaged partner in establishing public policy to improve the industry and help protect consumers,\u201d said Rep. Joe Pitts, of District 67. \u201cToday’s visit was another opportunity to keep important issues in front of the TN General Assembly and build relationships,\u201d said Pitts.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we\u2019re not participating in the process, then someone else is making decisions for Realtors and homeowners, and their interests won\u2019t be heard,\u201d said Charles Pecka, 2018 CAR President.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel more knowledgeable in where our leaders stand on these issues. I may not agree with their stance, but I at least know what they are,\u201d Said Joann Garcia, Clarksville Realtor and member of the 2018 CAR Governmental Affairs Committee.
\n\u201cOur perspective as real estate professionals is needed and valued by our representatives,\u201d said Melinda Kelly-Major, Clarksville Realtor and member of the 2018 CAR Governmental Affairs Committee. \u201cToday was a reminder that we all need to be involved in the process,\u201d said Kelly-Major.<\/p>\n
