Each station uses signage to encourage parents\/caregivers and their children to get active, learn and bond.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the ceremony, a group of local United Way volunteers helped install the trail at Liberty Park.<\/p>\n<p>About a dozen gleeful pre-schoolers from the Lafayette Road Head Start joined McMillan, Holleman, Clarksville Parks and Recreation Director Jennifer Letourneau and United Way volunteers to cut a ribbon on the trail.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a natural partnership, in all the best meanings of the word natural,\u201d Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan said. \u201cThis is a learning environment in a natural, outdoor setting, where kids can get exercise and a mental boost that helps them learn and be healthy. And it\u2019s natural to partner with the United Way to make this happen I want to thank the United Way for helping to make our beautiful Liberty Park and even better place for our children.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_386206\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/City-of-Clarksville-dedicates-Born-Learning-Trail-at-Liberty-Park-2.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-386206\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-386206\" title=\"Born Learning Trail opens at Liberty Park.\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/City-of-Clarksville-dedicates-Born-Learning-Trail-at-Liberty-Park-2-480x320.jpg\" alt=\"Born Learning Trail opens at Liberty Park.\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\"\/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-386206\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Born Learning Trail opens at Liberty Park.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>After the ceremony, Mayor McMillan led the pre-schoolers through the trail, stopping at each station to follow the activity directions.
