This weeks highlights include: Christmas on the Cumberland, New Providence Pool, New Year\u2019s Eve Splash and the Chocolate Affair.<\/p>\n

Christmas on the Cumberland<\/h3>\n

Christmas on the Cumberland, the City\u2019s popular lighted walk-through event, features over one-million lights displayed at McGregor Park located at 640 North Riverside Drive. It is open nightly from 5:00pm-10:00pm Sunday through Thursday, and 5:00pm-11:00pm Fridays and Saturdays through January 1st, 2017.<\/p>\n

New Providence Pool<\/h3>\n

New Providence Indoor Pool.<\/p><\/div>\n

The Clarksville\u2019s Parks and Recreation Department invites you to enjoy New Providence Pool, located at 168 Cunningham Lane, this fall and winter!<\/p>\n

New Providence Pool is the only public indoor pool in the City of Clarksville.<\/p>\n

The pool offers swim lessons, water fitness classes, lap swim, and open swimming through May. The pool also offers a children’s pool area, a climbing wall, diving board, and a concession stand for drinks and snacks. An ADA accessible hydraulic lift chair allows those with special needs to enjoy the pool.<\/p>\n

The facility is open daily Monday-Thursday from 9:00am to 12:00pm and 3:30pm until 8:00pm. Lap swim is available Monday- Friday from 6:30am to 9:00am.  Weekend hours are 12:00pm to 6:00pm on Saturdays and 1:00pm to 6:00pm on Sundays.<\/p>\n

Daily admission is only $3.00 Monday-Friday, and $5.00 Saturday and Sunday. Seasonal and year-round pool passes are also available.<\/p>\n

From Toddler Splash to Silver Splash, New Providence Pool is once again offering a variety of programming for all ages.<\/p>\n

New Year\u2019s Eve Splash<\/h3>\n

Ring in the New Year with family and friends at the family-friendly New Year\u2019s Eve Splash on December 31st beginning at 8:30pm. It\u2019s the perfect way to celebrate the start of 2017. Enjoy music, refreshments and free access to \u201cThe Aqua Run\u201d wibit and \u201cThe Aqua Climb\u201d climbing wall.  Pool partiers can also enjoy a giant, inflatable waterslide! Don\u2019t miss the beach ball drop at midnight.<\/p>\n

No need to reserve your spot! 2016 New Year’s Eve Splash festivities are included with daily admission ($5.00). Open to all ages, though minors ages 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian after 10:00pm.<\/p>\n

Chocolate Affair<\/h3>\n

\"2017<\/a><\/p>\n

On February 4th, 2017 Clarksville Parks and Recreation will hold the annual Chocolate Affair at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. The event will feature sweet and savory treats from local businesses.<\/p>\n

Sessions are:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Afternoon Chocolate Affair (Session 1) \u2013 2:00pm to 4:00pm
\nEvening Chocolate Affair (Session 2) \u2013 6:00pm to 8:00pm<\/p>\n

The afternoon session, happening from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, is more casual (kids are permitted), while a more upscale affair with dancing and a cash bar will round out the evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Each attendee (except children younger than age 2) must have a ticket. Soft drinks will be available for purchase during the event.<\/p>\n
