\"ClarksvilleClarksville, TN<\/strong> \u2013 Run for your lives! The Clarksville\u2019s Parks and Recreation Department and the Clarksville Zombie Hunters have teamed up to host the Zombie 5K Chase Race.<\/p>\n

Find out how fast you can escape as zombies take over Liberty Park on Saturday, October 29th beginning at 7:00am.<\/p>\n

\"Zombie<\/a><\/p>\n

Try and survive the apocalypse by using your brains and disguises to outsmart hungry zombies along the 3.1 mile course.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll need endurance, stamina and quick wit to survive this 5K – your life depends on it! All fitness levels are welcome.<\/p>\n

Open to ages 5 and up. Strollers are permitted, but must begin at the back of the race for safety.<\/p>\n

Registration<\/h3>\n

Registration is available online at www.cityofclarksville.com\/ZOMBIE5K<\/a> or in person at the Clarksville Parks and Recreation office located at 102 Public Square.<\/p>\n

Course Options<\/h3>\n

Timed 5K<\/strong>
\nEarly Bird Rate: $30.00<\/p>\n

Fee increases to $35.00 on October 18th<\/p>\n

Runners will endure a 5K run through a zombie-infested course. Test your speed, endurance, and strength while trying to avoid ravenous zombies! *This race is limited to the first 500 registrants and includes a t-shirt and finisher\u2019s medal. Participants in this race are eligible for awards.<\/p>\n

Non-Timed 5K
\n<\/strong>Early Bird Rate: $20.00<\/p>\n

Fee increases to $25.00 on October 18th<\/p>\n

Same zombie infested 5K course as the timed event, but for the non-competitive type. This race is about having a good time. Feel free to run, walk, skip, or hop! *This race is limited to the first 500 registrants and includes a t-shirt. Participants in this race will not <\/em>receive a finisher\u2019s medal or be eligible for awards.<\/p>\n

Family Fun Run<\/strong>
\nEarly Bird Rate: $15.00<\/p>\n

Fee increases to $20.00 on October 18th<\/p>\n

This race is intended for those 10-years and younger who want to participate with their parents and siblings, but may not have the endurance for a whole 3.1 miles. *There is no limit on participant registration and includes a t-shirt. Participants in this race will not<\/em> receive a finisher\u2019s medal or be eligible for awards.<\/p>\n

Costume Contest<\/h3>\n

This is a contest for the most believable zombie. All contest contestants must be a registered race participant to compete in the costume contest. Costume contest will be divided into two age groups: Under 18 and Adult. First, second, and third place winners will be awarded in each division.<\/p>\n

Zombie Attacks<\/h3>\n

No direct or intentional contact with another runner or zombie is permitted (course monitors will be present). Runners cannot push other runners into zombies. No fake (or real) weapons allowed. Violators of this rule may be asked to leave the premises.<\/p>\n
