\"TennesseeClarksville, TN<\/strong> – Clarksville Parks and Recreation and the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency (TWRA) will be hold the annual Youth Fishing Rodeo this Saturday, June 11th, 2016.<\/p>\n

The fishing rodeo will be held at the Liberty Park pond from 7:00am to 9:00am. Hot Dogs and Drinks will be available.<\/p>\n

Participants can pick up a form to pre-register at Wal-Mart or Grand Pa’s Outdoors prior to the event.<\/p>\n

This young lady caught her first fish ever at last year’s Youth Fishing Rodeo.<\/p><\/div>\n

Saturday is also Tennessee\u2019s annual Free Fishing Day. Anyone without a license may fish in the state\u2019s public waters.<\/p>\n

Children from infant to 16 years of age may take part in the event. Registration begins at 6:30am.<\/p>\n

The Liberty Park pond is stocked with catfish. Bring bait for catfish and small sunfish. One (1) fishing pole per child allowed for fishing.<\/p>\n

This year’s sponsors include Grandpa’s Outdoors, Walmart and numerous others.<\/p>\n

Clarksville’s Liberty Park is located at 1188 Cumberland Drive.<\/p>\n

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency provides the free day in hopes of increasing interest in fishing. The day allows anyone the opportunity to try this great outdoor sport, especially children.
