Kayli\u2019s artwork will be featured on the 2016 official Queen City Road Race T-shirt and event poster. Along with that honor, Kayli received $100.00, an art kit and framed poster of her winning artwork. In addition, her art class received $100.00 and a Subway party.<\/p>\n<p>Second Place winner Maddie Holt, 5th grade student at East Montgomery Elementary, received $50.00 and was awarded a certificate, art kit and a Subway party for her art class.<\/p>\n<p>Third Place winner Ava Biter, 1st grade student at Clarksville Christian School, received $25.00 and was awarded a certificate, art kit and a Subway party for her art class.<\/p>\n<p>The 38th Annual Queen City Road Race will take place Saturday, May 7th at 8:00am. The event will include a 5K, 10K, and One Mile Movement. Registration kicks off February 17th online at <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cityofclarksville.com\/qcrr\" >www.cityofclarksville.com\/qcrr<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Kleeman Center offers new session of visual healing arts program<\/h3>\n<p>If you are searching for a way to relax, VIVID\u2019s visual healing arts program could be just what you\u2019re looking for. Come unlock your mind, body, and soul while learning the techniques of creating art. A new session begins February 15th and meets every Monday from 10:00am-11:30am at the Kleeman Community Center through March 7th.<\/p>\n<h3>New Salsa Dance Class<\/h3>\n<p>It is hard to resist the lively music and hip-swinging movements of the Kleeman Center\u2019s newest dance program. In this weekly class, participants are taught simple dance steps and will combine them to complete the salsa dance.<\/p>\n<p>Class is open to ages 13 and up and meets every Wednesday from 6:00pm-7:00pm. Cost is $7.00 per class or $20.00 for the four-week program.<\/p>\n<h3>Registration is underway for Youth Recreation Leagues<\/h3>\n<p>Registration for the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Youth Recreation Leagues is underway. Participants can register now through March 28th at any of our three community centers, the Parks and Recreation office as well as online at <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cityofclarksville.com\/parksrec\" >www.cityofclarksville.com\/parksrec<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The baseball, softball and t-ball leagues are open to youth ages 5-14. For first time participants, birth certificates are required at time of registration to verify the child\u2019s age.<\/p>\n<p>Once again, Parks and Recreation will be offering Blastball\u00ae for boys and girls ages 3-4. Blastball\u00ae is a fun alternative to traditional t-ball and uses a \u201chonking\u201d base to entertain younger plays, bringing excitement to learning the fundamentals. This league concentrates on developing a child\u2019s running, hitting, catching, fielding and throwing skills.<\/p>\n<p>The cost to play in any of the Youth Recreation Leagues is $40.00 per child and includes a team shirt, hat, and medal. Beginning May 2nd, each team will practice at least once a week. When games begin on June 6th, teams will have one practice a week and one game a week.
