The deadline to enter is Thursday, December 3rd.<\/p>\n<p>Apply online at <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cityofclarksville.com\/parade\" >www.cityofclarksville.com\/parade<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The cost to enter is $30.00 for all entries except churches and civic groups. All entries must also be accompanied by an unwrapped new toy, non-perishable food items, or grocery store gift cards valued at $25.00. Church and civic groups need only donate the donation valued at $25.00 for entry. All toys, non-perishable food items, and gift cards will be collected during parade check-in on December 5th, and will be distributed among local charities.<\/p>\n<p>Awards will be presented to the first through third place winners in each division. Divisions include: Civic\/Church, Business\/Commercial, and City\/County. Judging will be conducted at 3:30pm on the day of the parade. Winners will be acknowledged as they pass the judges stand on Public Square.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Light Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is the minimum requirement to participate; as a rule MORE IS BETTER!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Floats must have a minimum of 1,000 lights<\/li>\n<li>Vehicles must have 250 lights<\/li>\n<li>Horses and Motorcycles must have 100 lights each<\/li>\n<li>Walkers must have 25 lights<\/li>\n<li>Vehicles towing floats must be fully decorated.<\/li>\n<li>Floats must be built on a trailer no smaller than 4\u2019x 8\u2019 and must follow the theme of the parade.<\/li>\n<li>Walkers accompanying floats must be kept to a minimum and dressed in holiday attire or a uniform (and lights).<\/li>\n<li>ALL horses must include clean up personnel and will be located at the end of the parade.<\/li>\n<li>No candy can be thrown from any entry during the parade due to safety issues of doing a night time parade. Please abide this rule.
