\"Dunbar<\/a>Clarksville, TN<\/strong> – Dunbar Cave State Natural Area<\/a> has been a State Park since 1973. The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.<\/p>\n

Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs during the year. There are programs for children and adults.<\/p>\n

Some of the upcoming events include: Night Hike and Recovery Trail Hike.<\/p>\n

Saturday, November 21st<\/h3>\n

Night Hike<\/strong><\/p>\n

Time:<\/strong> 4:30pm \u2013 6:00pm
\nAges:<\/strong> All ages<\/p>\n

We will walk the Short Loop Trail as darkness rises\u2013 we might hear owls, frogs and other creatures as we go.<\/p>\n

Monday, November 23rd<\/h3>\n

Recovery Trail Hike<\/strong><\/p>\n

Time:<\/strong> 9:00am \u2013 10:30am
\nAges:<\/strong> All ages<\/p>\n

Come out and enjoy the late fall on this two mile hike \u2013 we might see deer, squirrels and who knows what else!<\/p>\n

Dunbar Cave State Park Programs Information<\/h3>\n

Programs are free unless noted otherwise. All programs require reservations by the Deadline Listed. Programs with no reservations by the deadline will be canceled.<\/p>\n

All programs begin at the Visitor Center unless another site is listed.<\/p>\n

Children must be accompanied by an adult (one adult for each three children).<\/p>\n

Age limits are definite \u2013 please do not sign up a child who is younger or older than the age limits given.<\/p>\n

Dunbar Cave State Park is located at 401 Old Dunbar Cave Road, Clarksville Tennessee.<\/p>\n

Port Royal State Historic Park is located at 3300 Old Clarksville Springfield Road, Adams, Tennessee.<\/p>\n
