\"Dunbar<\/a>Clarksville, TN<\/strong> – Dunbar Cave State Natural Area<\/a> has been a State Park since 1973. The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.<\/p>\n

Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs during the year. There are programs for children and adults.<\/p>\n

Some of the upcoming events include: Introduction to Dunbar Cave SNA, Volunteer Opportunity and Port Royal History Hike.<\/p>\n

Introduction to Dunbar Cave SNA<\/strong><\/p>\n

Time:<\/strong> 5:00pm \u2013 6:00pm
\nAges:<\/strong> 10 – adult<\/p>\n

Learn about the Natural Area, past and present, with this indoor presentation.<\/p>\n

Reservations Required by:<\/strong> 4:30pm, October 22nd.

Sunday, October 25th<\/h3>\n

Volunteer Opportunity<\/strong><\/p>\n

Time:<\/strong> 8:00am – 9:00am
\nAges:<\/strong> 5 – Adult<\/p>\n

This morning we\u2019ll be picking up trash around the park and on the trails. Gloves and trash bags will be available.<\/p>\n

Port Royal History Hike<\/strong><\/p>\n

Look at our small park with new appreciation as you imagine that it was nearly Tennessee\u2019s capitol city.<\/p>\n

Dunbar Cave State Park Programs Information<\/h3>\n

Programs are free unless noted otherwise. All programs require reservations by the Deadline Listed. Programs with no reservations by the deadline will be canceled.<\/p>\n

All programs begin at the Visitor Center unless another site is listed.<\/p>\n

Children must be accompanied by an adult (one adult for each three children).<\/p>\n

Age limits are definite \u2013 please do not sign up a child who is younger or older than the age limits given.<\/p>\n

Dunbar Cave State Park is located at 401 Old Dunbar Cave Road, Clarksville Tennessee.<\/p>\n

Port Royal State Historic Park is located at 3300 Old Clarksville Springfield Road, Adams, Tennessee.<\/p>\n
