The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.<\/p>\n<p>Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs during the year. Meet at the River Bottom Trail parking lot.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reservations Required by:<\/strong> 4:30pm, October 14th.<br \/>\n<strong>Program Leader:<\/strong> Adam Neblett, Ranger<\/p>\n<h3>Saturday, October 17th<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Volunteer Opportunity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Time:<\/strong> 8:00am &#8211; 9:00am.<br \/>\n<strong>Ages:<\/strong> 10-Adult<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019ve ever taken the time to enjoy our butterfly garden, please take a little to come out and help us look after it. We\u2019ll be pulling weeds, so come prepared with work gloves and water. Many of you know the pains of weeding a garden and we\u2019d appreciate any time you could donate to us. In the process you\u2019ll get to learn a few things about our native plants in the area and what we have available in our garden. Most likely. But do you understand what\u2019s happening in it now? All programs require reservations by the Deadline Listed.
