\"Clarksville'sClarksville, TN<\/strong> – The Customs House Museum is offering artists in Tennessee and Kentucky an opportunity to exhibit in the Planters Bank Peg Harvill Gallery. The open call will give ten regional artists a one month show in 2016.<\/p>\n

The call is open to both 2D and 3D works. Prospectuses are available on the museum website as well as in the museum lobby.<\/p>\n

Past artists have included painters Anne Goetze, Mary Addison Hackett and Ed Nash, photographers Bob Sherman and Greg Sand, and sculptor Mindy Herrin, to name a few.<\/p>\n

The current year is sponsored by Nashville Arts Magazine, who received over 70 entries from Tennessee artists.<\/p>\n

Exhibits Curator, Terri Jordan, says \u201cThis region of the country is home to many talented artists and it is great to be able to give them a venue to share their work. Several artists that have come through the Peg Harvill Gallery are already award-winners, with gallery representations. Our museum offers them a chance to expose their art to a wider audience in their own backyard.\u201d<\/p>\n

The deadline to apply is September 12th. Selected artists will be notified November 1st.<\/p>\n

Located at the corner of Second and Commerce Streets, the Customs House Museum is the second largest general museum in Tennessee.<\/p>\n

\"Customs<\/a>Located in the heart of historic downtown Clarksville, Tennessee, the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center is the State\u2019s second largest general museum.<\/p>\n

The Explorer\u2019s Gallery is packed with fun, learning and fantasy in Aunt Alice\u2019s Attic, McGregor\u2019s Market and kitchen, and of course \u2013 the Bubble Cave! Finally, get \u201call aboard\u201d to see our fantastic model trains. Our volunteer engineers \u201cride the rails\u201d every Sunday afternoon from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.<\/p>\n

Regular museum hours are 10:00am to 5:00pm Tuesday through Saturday, and 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Sundays. Adult admission is $7.00, Senior Citizens and College ID $5.00, Ages 6 to 18 $3.00, and under six years and Museum members are free.<\/p>\n
