Norman Rockwell: The Man Behind the Canvas<\/strong>
\nThrough August 23rd<\/p>\n

This exhibit features original, candid photographs of America\u2019s iconic illustrator Norman Rockwell. From the Charles and Joy Flint Collection. Exhibit sponsored in part by Clarksville Dental Center.<\/p>\n

In the Footsteps of Alvin York<\/strong>
\nThrough September 28th<\/p>\n

Alvin York was one of the most decorated World War I soldiers from Tennessee. This exhibit celebrating his life is brought to us by the Museum of the American Military Experience. Sponsored in part by Nanette Morford Allstate Agency.<\/p>\n

These paintings are by expat artists living in the Nashville area.<\/p>\n

F. Luis Mora<\/strong>
\nThrough September 1st<\/p>\n

F. Luis Mora (1874 \u2013 1940) was a Hipanic-American artist, working in watercolor, oil, and tempera paints. His illustrations were published in widely read magazines such as Ladies\u2019 Home Journal, and is in the collections of over 30 museums, including the Smithsonian Museum of American Art. See his sketches and illustrations from the Customs House Museum collection, now on display.<\/p>\n

Diane Davich-Craig: Paintings & Ponderings<\/strong>
\nThrough August 30th<\/p>\n

Nashville artist Diane Davich-Craig\u2019s work is colorful, happy and sometimes has a little joke waiting for you to notice. Bringing inanimate objects to life is a favorite subject for her. This Exhibit is sponsored by Nashville Arts Magazine.<\/p>\n

August First Thursday Art Walk<\/strong>

Join us for the First Thursday Art Walk on August 6th. The museum will be open with free admission from 5:00pm \u2013 8:00pm. Meet artist Diane Davich-Craig and see her exhibit Paintings & Ponderings, on display through August 30th.<\/p>\n

Art is not just something we hang in galleries or on our walls. Join us today as we explore how artists make our clothing, dinnerware, books, advertisements, wallpaper, and more, so visually appealing. Stop in the Children\u2019s Room to create an ad, design a pattern for a plate or a t-shirt, or draw a picture of a house to live in underwater.<\/p>\n

Back to School Celebration: \u201cUnder the Big Top\u201d<\/strong>
\nAugust 12th<\/p>\n

Enjoy circus activities in the Children\u2019s Room all day from 10:00am \u2013 5:00pm. The model trains will run from 10:30am \u2013 11:30am and 2:30pm \u2013 3:30pm.<\/p>\n

Join us as we learn about illustrators and their styles while listening to wonderful stories.<\/p>\n

The Explorer\u2019s Gallery is packed with fun, learning and fantasy in Aunt Alice\u2019s Attic, McGregor\u2019s Market and kitchen, and of course \u2013 the Bubble Cave! Finally, get \u201call aboard\u201d to see our fantastic model trains. Our volunteer engineers \u201cride the rails\u201d every Sunday afternoon from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.<\/p>\n

Regular museum hours are 10:00am to 5:00pm Tuesday through Saturday, and 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Sundays. Adult admission is $7.00, Senior Citizens and College ID $5.00, Ages 6 to 18 $3.00, and under six years and Museum members are free.<\/p>\n
