The show is entitled \u201cCorazon Cubano\u201d or \u201cCuban Heart.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mayda Saborit was born in Cuba under the Castro totalitarian regime. She and her husband fled Cuba to escape the \u201ccaptivity\u201d of the island. She had always been interested in the arts, though she does not come from a family of artists.<\/p>\n<p>Saborit\u2019s children were held in Cuba as she and her husband traveled in Europe looking for freedom and a way to reunite with their children, which happened in 2005 after eighteen months separation.
