This exhibit in our lobby features various artifacts from his life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Norman Rockwell: The Man Behind the Canvas<\/strong><br \/>\nOpening June 16th<\/p>\n<p>From the Charles and Joy Flint Collection. Exhibit sponsored in part by Clarksville Dental Center.<\/p>\n<h3>Activities<\/h3>\n<p><strong>June First Thursday Art Walk<\/strong><br \/>\nJune 4yj, 5:00pm \u2013 8:00pm<\/p>\n<p>Join us for the First Thursday Art Walk on June 4th. The museum will be open with free admission from 5:00pm \u2013 8:00pm. Author Shana Thornton will be signing copies of her new book Poke Sallet Queen and the Family Medicine Wheel. The book is available for purchase at Seasons: The Museum Store.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flying High 2015<\/strong><br \/>\nSaturday, June 6th, 5:00pm at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center<\/p>\n<p>[320left]Held the first Saturday of June each year, Flying High is an evening celebrating artists and the works of art of the region. Flying High is Customs House Museum&#8217;s preeminent fundraiser of the year, supporting educational and exhibit programming of the Museum. This year\u2019s theme is Arabian Nights!<\/p>\n<p>Tickets to this event are $125.00 for Museum members, and $175.00 for non-members. To purchase ticket(s), please contact Linda Maki at 931.648.5780.<\/p>\n<p>The evening starts at 5:00pm with a silent auction. Dinner is at 7:00pm, followed by the live auction at 8:00 and live music and dancing to conclude the evening.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Artist talk with Bob Sherman &amp; Paul Polycarpou<\/strong><br \/>\nSaturday June 12th, 6:00pm \u2013 8:00pm<\/p>\n<p>Artist Bob Sherman will discuss his art found in the exhibit The Illusion of Person and Place: The Spirit of Asia by Bob Sherman. Artist Paul Polycarpou of Nashville Arts Magazine will also be speaking. Program is free and open to public.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cStory &amp; Craft Time with Ms. Sue\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\nJune 11th, 18th, 25th, 10:30am \u2013 11:15am<\/p>\n<p>Join us as we learn about illustrators and their styles while listening to wonderful stories.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cLet\u2019s Find\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\nJune 10th, 17th, 24th, 10:30am \u2013 11:30am<\/p>\n<p>This activity explores exhibits through specific topics and includes a story and a craft.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cFamily Day \u2013 Happy Birthday!\u201d<br \/>\n<\/strong>June 13th, 10:00am \u2013 5:00pm<\/p>\n<p>The museum is 32 years old this month. Join Ms. Sue in the Children\u2019s Room at your leisure for some hands-on activities and \u201cremember when\u201d stories.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Children\u2019s Room Theme: \u201cWater, Water Everywhere\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\nOpen Daily 10:00am \u2013 5:00pm<\/p>\n<p>During the school year, one member-mom often stopped by the museum with her children after school to spend an hour or so in the Children\u2019s Room and in the Explorers\u2019 Gallery.
