Douglas MacArthur Foundation, recognize the ideals of \u201cduty, honor and country,\u201d as advocated by MacArthur.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_311878\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/MacArthur-Awards.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-311878\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-311878\" title=\"MacArthur Awards\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/MacArthur-Awards-480x430.jpg\" alt=\"MacArthur Awards\" width=\"480\" height=\"430\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-311878\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">MacArthur Awards<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!--more-->The APSU program represents Cadet Command\u2019s Seventh Brigade, which consists of the 38 senior Army ROTC programs in the states of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee and Kentucky.<\/p>\n<p>The award is based on a combination of the achievement of the school\u2019s commissioning mission, its cadets\u2019 performance and standing on the Command\u2019s national Order of Merit List and its cadet retention rate.<\/p>\n<p>Cadet Command and the MacArthur Foundation have given the awards annually since 1989.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Army Cadet Command is responsible for commissioning more than 60 percent of the Army\u2019s new officers each year through 275 host programs and more than 1,000 affiliated campuses nationwide.
