In fact, the origins of this durable Foundry date to 1847.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, a fourth generation of the Foust family \u2013 William \u201cBill\u201d Foust \u2013 made an important career move by choosing to join the family business and continue the Foust tradition. Bill is the son of current President and CEO Charles Foust Jr.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_308830\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/2015-Clarksville-Foundry-Bill-Foust.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-308830\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-308830\" title=\"Bill Foust, Project Coordinator \u2013 Clarksville Foundry.\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/2015-Clarksville-Foundry-Bill-Foust-480x360.jpg\" alt=\"Bill Foust, Project Coordinator \u2013 Clarksville Foundry.\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-308830\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bill Foust, Project Coordinator \u2013 Clarksville Foundry.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!--more-->Bill graduated from Austin Peay State University magna cum laude in 2013 with a Bachelor\u2019s degree in physics and a minor in mathematics.<\/p>\n<p>The next-generation Foust expects his academic pursuits to be \u201cextremely useful in designing and implementing procedures for production, as well as conceiving of and executing ideas for process improvements as the Foundry continues to grow and prosper.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Charles Foust\u2019s goal for his new prot\u00e9g\u00e9 is for him to gain an understanding of all aspects of Clarksville Foundry\u2019s operations while contributing to innovations for all operations. As Clarksville Foundry\u2019s Project Coordinator, Bill has begun a year-long process of upgrading the company\u2019s software to the Odyssey Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) Software by B&amp;L Information Systems.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe MRP system is a good way for Clarksville Foundry to streamline costs and increase efficiencies throughout the course of a job while reducing environmental impact,\u201d said Bill. \u201cKey training points for us will include accounting, inventory, scheduling and production.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Both Fousts have high hopes for the future of Clarksville Foundry as business continues to change, grow and evolve, just as it has since 1847.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI already know our success doesn\u2019t come from competing on price alone with foundries that have far greater capacities,\u201d said the younger Foust. \u201cOur niche is geared to highly customized, short-run and precise specification castings and alloys.
