\"Dunbar<\/a>Clarksville, TN<\/strong> – Dunbar Cave State Natural Area<\/a> has been a State Park since 1973. The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.<\/p>\n

Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs during the year. There are programs for children and adults.<\/p>\n

Some of the upcoming events include: Nature Walk at Port Royal, Woods Walk, Night Hike, Bird Hike, and Trail of Tears at Port Royal.<\/p>\n

Wednesday, April 15th<\/h3>\n

Nature Walk at Port Royal<\/strong><\/p>\n

Time:<\/strong> 10:00am \u2013 11:00am
\nAges:<\/strong> 3 – adult<\/p>\n

We will take the \u00bd mile River Bottom Trail and see what plants and creatures we can find. Meet at the River Bottom Trail parking lot.<\/p>\n

Thursday, April 16th<\/h3>\n

We will take the one mile Short Loop Trail and see what plants and creatures we can find.<\/p>\n

Friday, April 17th<\/h3>\n

Birding at Port Royal<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bring binoculars and learn the birds that call this area home. Meet at the upper parking lot (beside Visitor Center).<\/p>\n

Dunbar Cave State Park Programs Information<\/h3>\n

Programs are free unless noted otherwise. All programs require reservations by the Deadline Listed. Programs with no reservations by the deadline will be canceled.<\/p>\n

All programs begin at the Visitor Center unless another site is listed.<\/p>\n

Children must be accompanied by an adult (one adult for each three children).<\/p>\n

Age limits are definite \u2013 please do not sign up a child who is younger or older than the age limits given.<\/p>\n

Dunbar Cave State Park is located at 401 Old Dunbar Cave Road, Clarksville Tennessee.<\/p>\n

Port Royal State Historic Park is located at 3300 Old Clarksville Springfield Road, Adams, Tennessee.<\/p>\n
