On April 6th 2010, at 5:30 pm, the Montgomery County Civil War 150 Commission held it’s first official event that marked the commemoration of the placement and firing of a Civil War cannon and gun carriage on the corner of the Montgomery County Courthouse Square.<\/p>\n
The cannon is the first to be made in Montgomery County since the Civil War. It is a fully working replica of an 1847 six-pounder howtizer recently cast by the Clarksville Foundry.
