With so much to absorb, I would remind myself to &#8216;have patience with everything that remains unsolved in the heart. So, I slowly began sorting, printing and painting the images that spoke a visual poetry to me. I wanted to interpret internally what I felt needed to be expressed outwardly\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The resulting works are strikingly peaceful. Golden hues and soft blacks give warmth to the thirteen canvases, creating such dreamy environments that the viewer is inclined to whisper in their presence. Along with the mixed media pieces, the exhibit will include a film.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/annegoetze002.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-299370\" title=\"The Annecy France Nun Series by Anne Goetze Debuts at the Customs House Museum\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/annegoetze002-150x200.jpg\" alt=\"The Annecy France Nun Series by Anne Goetze Debuts at the Customs House Museum\" width=\"150\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>Goetze was born into a family of artists and photographers. She cites her influences to be the documentary photography of Dorothea Lange and the paintings of the French and American Impressionists. She has studied with many contemporary artists such as Anton Weiss, Quang Ho, Skip Whitcomb and Dawn Whitelaw.<\/p>\n<p>Goetze\u2019s work is found in the permanent collections of The Tennessee State Museum and Vanderbilt Children\u2019s Hospital, as well as the personal collections of Oprah Winfrey, Tony Joe White, U S Senator Fred Thompson, Tim McGraw, Michael McDonald, Naomi Judd, John Hiatt, Nashville Mayor Karl Dean and Billy Ray Cyrus, among others. Anne Goetze is a member of the Oil Painters of America, American Impressionist Society, Metro Nashville Arts Commission, and The Chestnut Group.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/annegoetze003.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-299371\" title=\"The Annecy France Nun Series by Anne Goetze Debuts at the Customs House Museum\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/annegoetze003-480x480.jpg\" alt=\"The Annecy France Nun Series by Anne Goetze Debuts at the Customs House Museum\" width=\"480\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a>Pray to Love will be on exhibit February 4th to March 1st.
