The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.<\/p>\n<p>Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs this summer. Great project for scout troops! Bring gloves.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Lake Trail Walk<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Time:<\/strong> 4:00pm \u2013 5:00pm<br \/>\n<strong>Ages:<\/strong> 5 to adult<\/p>\n<p>Join us for an easy walk on the Lake Trail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reservations by:<\/strong> 4:30pm January 8th.<br \/>\n<strong>Program Leader:<\/strong> Adam Neblett, Ranger<\/p>\n<h3>Sunday, January 11th<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Port Royal History Walk<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Time:<\/strong> 10:00am \u2013 11:00am<br \/>\n<strong>Ages:<\/strong> 8 to adult<\/p>\n<p>Join us for a walk around Port Royal Historic Area. Meet at the upper parking lot (beside the Masonic Lodge).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reservations by:<\/strong> 4:30pm January 9th.<br \/>\n<strong>Program Leader:<\/strong> Adam Neblett, Ranger<\/p>\n<h3>Tuesday, January 13th<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Bird Hike at Port Royal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Time:<\/strong> 10:00am \u2013 11:00am<br \/>\n<strong>Ages:<\/strong> Adult<\/p>\n<p>Bring binoculars and learn the birds that call this area home for the winter. All programs require reservations by the Deadline Listed.
