\"Dunbar<\/a>Clarksville, TN<\/strong> – Dunbar Cave State Natural Area<\/a> has been a State Park since 1973. The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.<\/p>\n

Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs this summer. There are programs for children and adults.<\/p>\n

Some of the upcoming events include: Volunteer Day, Lake Trail Walk, Port Royal History Walk, Bird Hike at Port Royal, Cave Entrance Use, and Day to Night Hike.<\/p>\n

Enjoy a walk through the woods as you learn about the plants and animals of winter.<\/p>\n

Woodland Wildlife<\/strong><\/p>\n

Help the Friends of Dunbar Cave as they prepare the Christmas trees for recycling. Great project for scout troops! Bring gloves.<\/p>\n

Lake Trail Walk<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nAges:<\/strong> 5 to adult<\/p>\n

Join us for an easy walk on the Lake Trail.<\/p>\n

Port Royal History Walk<\/strong><\/p>\n

Join us for a walk around Port Royal Historic Area. Meet at the upper parking lot (beside the Masonic Lodge).<\/p>\n

Tuesday, January 13th<\/h3>\n

Bird Hike at Port Royal<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bring binoculars and learn the birds that call this area home for the winter. Meet at River Bottom Trail head.<\/p>\n

Dunbar Cave State Park Programs Information<\/h3>\n

Programs are free unless noted otherwise. All programs require reservations by the Deadline Listed. Programs with no reservations by the deadline will be canceled.<\/p>\n

All programs begin at the Visitor Center unless another site is listed.<\/p>\n

Children must be accompanied by an adult (one adult for each three children).<\/p>\n

Age limits are definite \u2013 please do not sign up a child who is younger or older than the age limits given.<\/p>\n

Dunbar Cave State Park is located at 401 Old Dunbar Cave Road, Clarksville Tennessee.<\/p>\n

Port Royal State Historic Park is located at 3300 Old Clarksville Springfield Road, Adams, Tennessee.<\/p>\n
