The cave and its surrounding 110 acres have considerable scenic, natural and historical significance. The entrance offered shelter to prehistoric Native Americans as far back as 10,000 years.<\/p>\n<p>Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs this summer. Meet at the River Bottom Trail parking lot.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reservations by<\/strong> 4:30pm December 5th.<br \/>\n<strong>Program Leader:<\/strong> Amy Wallace, Interpretive Specialist<\/p>\n<h3>Woods Walk<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Time:<\/strong> 3:30pm \u2013 4:30pm<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ages:<\/strong> All ages<\/p>\n<p>Learn about plants and animals that call this area home. We will hike one mile through the woods and around the lake.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reservations by<\/strong> 4:30pm December 5th.<br \/>\n<strong>Program Leader:<\/strong> Amy Wallace, Interpretive Specialist<\/p>\n<h3>Wednesday, December 10th<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Winter Woods Walk<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Time:<\/strong> 9:00am \u2013 11:00am<br \/>\n<strong>Ages:<\/strong> All ages<\/p>\n<p>Walk our two mile trail and see if we can find deer, squirrels, chipmunks and more \u2013 animals are much easier to see in the winter woods.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reservations by<\/strong> 4:30pm December 8th.<br \/>\n<strong>Program Leader:<\/strong> Amy Wallace, Interpretive Specialist<\/p>\n<h3>Port Royal History Walk<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Time:<\/strong> 2:00pm \u2013 3:30pm<br \/>\n<strong>Ages:<\/strong> 8 &amp; up<\/p>\n<p>Join us for a walk around Port Royal Historic Area to learn why it is a Historic Park. All programs require reservations by the Deadline Listed.
