An icy, winter wind rattled the decorations hanging from streetlights, and most of the sidewalks were empty because it was too cold to go outside.<\/p>\n<p>One of the only signs of life on that quiet night came from the center of the Austin Peay State University campus, where hundreds of people hurried into the Morgan University Center for the Department of Music\u2019s Annual Holiday Dinner.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/5th-Annual-Holiday-Dinner.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-289707\" title=\"5th Annual Holiday Dinner set for December 5th and 6th.\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/5th-Annual-Holiday-Dinner-480x369.jpg\" alt=\"5th Annual Holiday Dinner set for December 5th and 6th.\" width=\"480\" height=\"369\" \/><\/a><!--more-->The formal, sit-down dinner, featuring APSU choral members performing holiday songs, had grown so popular over the years that even that night\u2019s wintry weather didn\u2019t stop people from attending.<\/p>\n<p>At 7:00pm on December 5th and at 7:00pm on December 6th, an even larger crowd is expected to come celebrate at this year\u2019s Fifth Annual Holiday Dinner.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOver the past five years, it has grown so much with University and community support that we\u2019ve added a second evening,\u201d Korre Foster, director of choral activities at APSU, said. \u201cBut the Holiday Dinner is the way to start your holiday season.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While attendees enjoy a salad and either a beef, chicken, fish or vegetarian dinner entr\u00e9e, the University\u2019s choral ensembles and instrumentalists will perform an array of traditional and international holiday songs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause it\u2019s our fifth anniversary, we\u2019re celebrating with music from all over the world,\u201d Foster said. \u201cPatrons will be delighted to hear Chanukah music and Christmas music from Sweden, Estonia, Nigeria, the United States and the Caribbean.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A special, secret performance will bring the evening to a close, along with the serving of a desert that matches the theme of the final musical piece.<br \/>\nTickets for the dinner are $55.00.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, to purchase tickets or to RSVP before December 3rd, contact Foster at 931.221.7002 or <a href=\"mailto:fosterk@apsu.edu\">fosterk@apsu.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Clarksville, TN &#8211; On a Saturday evening last December, a thin layer of snow covered downtown Clarksville.
