Area businesses line the streets in Downtown Clarksville distributing Candy and information to costumed children and their parents. There were 70 trick-or-treat booths, costume contests, a haunted house, a hayride and food vendors with Halloween themed menus!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is phenomenal!\u201d said Jenna Tyler, the Special Events Supervisor for the City of Clarksville. \u201cI love that the businesses just really go all out for it, and they&#8217;re very supportive of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_286767\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_9165.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-286767\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-286767\" title=\"Fright on Franklin Street brings many families to the Historic Downtown Area\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_9165-480x320.jpg\" alt=\"Fright on Franklin Street brings many families to the Historic Downtown Area\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-286767\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Fright on Franklin Street brings many families to the Historic Downtown Area<\/p><\/div>\n<p>She continued, \u201cThis year we&#8217;ve added the haunted house, with three vendors in there. It&#8217;s very fun. We also have food vendors with Halloween themed menus. And we did the storefront decorating contest that served as a lead up into the festival. And you can see the parks and rec building is decorated with the skeletons and all that stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_286773\" style=\"width: 210px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_9363.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-286773\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-286773\" title=\"Two young cowboys taking part in the costume contest\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/10\/IMG_9363-200x133.jpg\" alt=\"Two young cowboys taking part in the costume contest\" width=\"200\" height=\"133\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-286773\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Two young cowboys taking part in the costume contest<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A costume contest was held with the best entries in the following Categories receiving prizes; Newborn to 2-years old, 3-6 years old, 7-9 years old, 10-12 years old, group costumes, and original costumes.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Tummons, the director of the Clarksville Department of Parks and Recreation was one of the judges, \u201cIt was so hard to choose the winners as there were a lot of great costumes out here today!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued, \u201cFright on Franklin Street is fantastic this year with absolutely perfect weather. It&#8217;s great seeing all of the kids, and even some of the adults out here in costume.
