\"MontgomeryClarksville, TN<\/strong> – His colleagues know him for his laid-back demeanor, his intimidating stature and his Barry White-esque voice on the radio, but mostly, they know Andy Lowery as one of the most professional Deputies they\u2019ve ever worked with.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s the most professional man I\u2019ve had the pleasure of working with,\u201d said Sgt. Robert Boone.<\/p>\n

Lowery came to the Sheriff\u2019s Office after having served more than 20 years in the military and after having worked with the Tennessee State Capitol Police, and he recently retired after 12 years of service with the office.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe always said he had that Capitol strut,\u201d said Assistant Chief Mike Bowers, laughing.<\/p>\n

Lowery\u2019s friends and colleagues gathered Friday to share stories, laughs and cake at the Montgomery County Sheriff\u2019s Office Friday to wish him well in his retirement.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve served your country, you\u2019ve served your community, and now it\u2019s time for you to serve your wife,\u201d Chief Deputy John Smith joked.<\/p>\n

Boone spoke about how Lowery almost never needed assistance in dealing with calls, whether it was because of his calm nature or his height.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut there was one time he called for assistance, and when he said, over the radio, \u2018You better be getting\u2019 up here now,\u2019 I knew it was serious,\u201d Boone said.<\/p>\n

Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson presented Lowery with a plaque, purchased by his colleagues in patrol, and thanked him for his service.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s always important for me to show appreciation to employees,\u201d said Fuson. \u201cWith the time he served his country and served our community, Lowery is definitely a true public servant.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
