\"ClarksvilleClarksville, TN<\/strong> – Registration for the 7th Annual Riverfest Regatta is underway and students have just been given a little incentive to sign up. U.S. Bank, the event\u2019s sponsor, will pay the registration fee for any school entry!<\/p>\n

Students can enter as a group (up to 8 students per entry) or as an individual.<\/p>\n

Clarksville’s Riverfest Regatta<\/p><\/div>\n

The Riverfest Regatta is not your typical boat race. The boats racing down the Cumberland River Saturday morning, September 7th, will be made of cardboard or plastic bottles and a few other approved materials.<\/p>\n

\u201cI never would have believed boats made of cardboard would float while holding a crew of grown adults had I not witnessed the Riverfest Regatta in previous years,\u201d said Joyce Norris, US Bank Vice President. \u201cUS Bank is proud to sponsor the Regatta for the enjoyment of all ages- it’s a great deal of fun!\u201d<\/p>\n

Not only will teams be racing for bragging rights, but trophies will also be awarded to the first-, second- and third-place teams in each division. Competition will be in five divisions: Adult Open, Business and Industry, Church\/Civic, and City Department.<\/p>\n
