\"Clarksville'sClarksville, TN<\/strong> – Registration is currently underway for the Riverfest Tour d\u2019Art Exhibits and Competition. This year\u2019s competition will feature the following three exhibits: Amateur & Professional Divisions, High School Division, and the Senior Citizens\u2019 Division.<\/p>\n

Artwork is displayed at exhibits at various locations in downtown Clarksville, and then juried, and over $2,500 in prizes is awarded.<\/p>\n

\"Riverfest<\/a>

Riverfest Tour d\u2019Art Exhibit<\/p><\/div>\n

The Amateur and Professional Division exhibit will be hosted by the Smith-Trahern Mansion September 6th from 10:00am-8:00pm and September 7th from 10:00am-5:00pm. Artists may enter in six categories: Painting & Watercolor, Drawing, 3D\/Fiber Arts, Mixed Media & Print Collage, Digital Photography and Film Photography.<\/p>\n

Monetary awards are given to first through third place in each category (for each division) as well as a Best of Show Award and purchase awards are being offered by Farmers & Merchants Bank, Legends Bank, Neal Tarpley Funeral Directors, and Planters Bank. Entries will be accepted September 2nd at the Smith-Trahern Mansion from noon\u20133:00pm. The exhibit is sponsored by Legends Bank, the Smith-Trahern Mansion and the Arts & Heritage Development Council.<\/p>\n

The High School Division Art Division exhibit will be hosted by the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center September 6th from 10:00am-8:00pm and September 7th from 10:00am-5:00pm. The competition includes five categories: Photography & Digital Images, Sculpture, Painting, Mixed Media\/Collage, and Drawing. Limit is 10 entries per school.<\/p>\n

Monetary awards are given to first through third place in each category (for each division) as a Best of Show Award. Artwork will be accepted August 28th-30th from 8:00am to 4:30pm at the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department main office.<\/p>\n

The exhibit is sponsored by the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center, Legends Bank, the Clarksville Department of Electricity and the Arts & Heritage Development Council.<\/p>\n

The Senior Citizen Art Exhibit will be hosted by the Downtown Artist\u2019s Co-Op September 5th from noon-6:00pm and September 6th and 7th from noon-5:00pm. All seniors ages 65 and up, residing in Montgomery County and surrounding counties; are encouraged to participate. There is no cost to enter this competition.<\/p>\n
