{"id":15510,"date":"2013-06-25T08:00:26","date_gmt":"2013-06-25T13:00:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.discoverclarksville.com\/articles\/?p=15510"},"modified":"2013-06-25T00:55:33","modified_gmt":"2013-06-25T05:55:33","slug":"apsu-public-relations-wins-9-awards-at-2013-tennessee-college-public-relations-association-spring-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.discoverclarksville.com\/articles\/2013\/06\/25\/apsu-public-relations-wins-9-awards-at-2013-tennessee-college-public-relations-association-spring-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"APSU Public Relations wins 9 awards at 2013 Tennessee College Public Relations Association Spring Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-47306\" title=\"Austin Peay State University - APSU\" alt=\"Austin Peay State University - APSU\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/apsu-logo-200x123.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"123\" \/><strong>Clarksville, TN<\/strong> &#8211; The Office of Public Relations and Marketing at Austin Peay State University won nine awards during the Tennessee College Public Relations Association (TCPRA) spring conference and awards contest held Thursday, June 13th and Friday, June 14th at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville Tennessee.<\/p>\n<p>Entries were received for the contest period between April 1st, 2012, and March 31st, 2013.<!--more-->TCPRA \u2013 an alliance of communicators across the state representing public and private colleges and universities, technical schools, technology centers and community colleges \u2013 awarded gold, silver and bronze distinctions in various writing, design, publication and photography categories.<\/p>\n<h3>The University\u2019s PR office captured the following Awards:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Gold in the Special Publication category for the \u201cScoring New Beginnings\u201d print item produced to help with fundraising efforts for the football stadium renovation.<\/li>\n<li>Gold in the Promotional Campaign category for the design and promotion of the GovTrails walking project on campus.<\/li>\n<li>Gold in the Poster category for the Asanbe Diversity Symposium that featured the topic of \u201cFreedom Flyers.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Gold in the Banners\/Outdoor Media category for a series of adult learner billboard signs.<\/li>\n<li>Silver in the Specialty Item category for the acceptance package, which includes personalized material and information given to new students.<\/li>\n<li>Silver in the Web Page\/Website category for the design of the adult learner website.<\/li>\n<li>Silver in the Print Advertisement category for the promotion of fast-track degree programs at the Austin Peay Center at Fort Campbell.<\/li>\n<li>Bronze in the Newsletter \u2013 Print category for the Parent\u2019s Newsletter.<\/li>\n<li>Bronze in the Photography category for a series of photos associated with an alumni magazine story, titled \u201cA Judge\u2019s Journey.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Clarksville, TN &#8211; The Office of Public Relations and Marketing at Austin Peay State University won nine awards during the Tennessee College Public Relations Association (TCPRA) spring conference and awards contest held Thursday, June 13th and Friday, June 14th at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville Tennessee.
