Free 5-on-5 basketball and 7-on-7 flag football tournaments will be held as part of the Mayor\u2019s Summer Night Lights program!<\/p>\n<p>These sports tournaments are open to ages 11-14, 15-17, and 18 and up. Those wanting to play must be at the location no later than 5:45pm to sign up. Free food and drinks will be provided!<\/p>\n<p>Basketball tournaments will be held at Bel-Aire Park, Summit Heights and the Kleeman Center. Teams must have five players.<\/p>\n<h4>The schedule of basketball is as follows:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Bel-Aire Park \u2013 June 24th<\/li>\n<li>Kleeman Center \u2013 July 1st<\/li>\n<li>Summit Heights \u2013 July 3rd<\/li>\n<li>Bel-Aire Park \u2013 July 8th<\/li>\n<li>Kleeman Center \u2013 July 15th<\/li>\n<li>Summit Heights \u2013 July 17th<\/li>\n<li>Bel-Aire Park \u2013 July 22nd<\/li>\n<li>Kleeman Center \u2013 July 29th<\/li>\n<li>Summit Heights \u2013 July 31st<\/li>\n<li>Bel-Aire Park \u2013 August 5th<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Flag football tournaments will be held at Pettus Park. Teams must have seven players.<\/p>\n<h4>Tournaments will be:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>June 26th<\/li>\n<li>July 10th<\/li>\n<li>July 24th<\/li>\n<li>August 7th<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Doggie Palooza<\/h3>\n<p>The 6th Annual Doggie Palooza will be held June 29 after being previously rained out. This free event is from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, at the Heritage Park Bark Park.<\/p>\n<p>Bring your pooch for a day full of demonstrations, contests, prizes and more!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/DoggiePalooza.png\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-36446\" title=\"Doggie Palooza\" alt=\"Doggie Palooza\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/DoggiePalooza-480x135.png\" width=\"480\" height=\"135\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Independence Day Celebration<\/h3>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/2013-Independence-Day-Celebration.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-180883 alignleft\" title=\"2013 Independence Day Celebration\" alt=\"2013 Independence Day Celebration\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/2013-Independence-Day-Celebration-129x200.jpg\" width=\"129\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>Join us as we celebrate our nation\u2019s independence with the 6th annual Independence Day Celebration at a new location! Join us on Wednesday, July 3rd, at Liberty Park for food, fun and entertainment for the entire family.<\/p>\n<p>Activities begin at 6:00pm and will include performances by local bands Brio and The Beagles and will conclude with the city\u2019s largest fireworks display starting at 9:30pm!<\/p>\n<p>Guests are encouraged to park at the 7-acre grass area adjacent to the park, or at the old Josten\u2019s building, located at 1312 Hwy 48\/13. Clarksville Transit System will provide free rides to and from the parking areas beginning at 4:00pm with the last bus departing from Liberty Park at 10:30pm.<\/p>\n<h3>Wonder Kids Triathlon<\/h3>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Wonder-Kids-Triathlon.jpg\"  class=\"thickbox no_icon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-181684\" alt=\"Wonder Kids Triathlon\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/Wonder-Kids-Triathlon-129x200.jpg\" width=\"129\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>Don\u2019t miss the first-ever Wonder Kids Triathlon, presented by Jack in the Box, to be held August 3rd! This event is open to boys and girls ages 3-12 and will take place at the New Providence Pool and surrounding property.<\/p>\n<p>Wonder Kids Triathlon participants will participate in three legs of the event, swimming, biking and running.<\/p>\n<p>Courses vary depending on age:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>3-5Yrs:<\/strong> 25m Swim, 300yd Bike, 100yd Run<\/li>\n<li><strong>6-8Yrs:<\/strong> 50m Swim, 600yd Bike, 300yd Run<\/li>\n<li><strong>9-12Yrs:<\/strong> 100m Swim, 1mile Bike, 1\/2mile Run<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All floatation devices must be Coast Guard approved.<\/p>\n<p>Cost is $25.00 per child and pre-registration is required with a limit of 100 participants in this year\u2019s event so register early! Cost covers t-shirt, medal, swim cap and goodie bag.<\/p>\n<p>Registration can be completed at recpro.cityofclarksville.com, at our Community Centers or Main Office, no later than July 29th.
