Most of these award-winning women are from Tennessee. Through May 12th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trousseau<\/strong><br \/>\nVintage clothing and other ladies&#8217; items throughout several decades are on display in this Women&#8217;s History Month exhibit. Through May 20th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TN Waterways &amp; the Amazing Maze<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Amazing Maze is back! Explore the waterways of Tennessee while finding your way through the life-size maze. Opens May 16th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Only the Shadows Know: Darkroom Junkies<\/strong><br \/>\nThis group of photographers produce work that relies solely on darkroom techniques.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mike Andrews: Carvings, Castings &amp; Constructions<\/strong><br \/>\nWork by sculptor Mike Andrews, APSU graduate, opens May 17th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Traditions: TN Lives &amp; Legacies<\/strong><br \/>\nThis exhibit highlights folk artists from around the state in photographs by Dean Dixon of Nashville, TN. A companion book by the same title features 25 essays by Dr. Robert Cogswell that testify to the strength and diversity of Tennessee\u2019s grassroots cultural life. Exhibit produced by the Tennessee Arts Commission Folklife Program. Opens May 22nd.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Archetypes: The Art of Diane Shaw<\/strong><br \/>\nOpened May 1st<\/p>\n<p><strong>Celebrating 100 Years of the Foust Family Foundry<\/strong><br \/>\nOpened May 3rd.<\/p>\n<h3>Activities<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Let\u2019s Find: Flowers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>May 15th &amp; 16th, 10:30am\u201311:30am<\/strong><br \/>\nChildren 3 \u2013 5 years old and their grown-ups are invited to explore the museum from a child\u2019s perspective. This month we will be looking for flowers. We will also read a story and make a craft. If you would like, bring a picture of a flower to plant in our picture garden. Your picture can be a photograph, drawing, or one cut from a magazine.<\/p>\n<p>This activity is free to museum members. Non-members pay the regular adult admission of $7.00, plus $1.00 per child 3 years and older. Siblings are always welcome.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday Family Fun: Construction Art<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>May 19th, 1:00pm\u20135:00pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><\/strong>Nuts and bolts and washers and screws,<br \/>\nPut them together, create something new.<br \/>\nOr paper and tubes,<br \/>\nThey also will do.<br \/>\nCome visit this Sunday,<br \/>\nAnd discover the art by Mr. Andrews.<\/p>\n<p>This activity is free with your paid admission or museum membership. For more information contact Sue Lewis at 931.648.5780.<\/p>\n<p>The museum will be closed Sunday, May 12th for Mother&#8217;s Day and Monday, May 27th for Memorial Day.<\/p>\n<h3>About the Customs House Museum<\/h3>\n<p>Located in the heart of historic downtown Clarksville, Tennessee, the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center is the State\u2019s second largest general museum. With over 35,000 square feet of the region\u2019s best hands-on activities and special events\u2026people of all ages agree \u2013 the Customs House Museum is well worth the stop!<\/p>\n<p>The Explorer\u2019s Gallery is packed with fun, learning and fantasy in Aunt Alice\u2019s Attic, McGregor\u2019s Market and kitchen, and of course \u2013 the Bubble Cave! Finally, get \u201call aboard\u201d to see our fantastic model trains. Our volunteer engineers \u201cride the rails\u201d every Sunday afternoon from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.<\/p>\n<p>Regular museum hours are 10:00am to 5:00pm Tuesday through Saturday, and 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Sundays.
