Yard debris is normal yard waste such as grass clippings, leaves, and limbs. Tree limbs cannot be longer than 6 feet.

The department will not pick up tree limbs if they have been pruned by a commercial company. All grass and leaves must be placed in biodegradable paper bags or cardboard boxes and placed near, but not in, the street.

“Spring cleaning includes yard work for many of us. This service will help residents dispose of yard debris in a responsible way. It’s good for the environment, helps reduce potential safety hazards and keeps our neighborhoods and yards neat and attractive. Better yet, participation in the program is free. I appreciate the Street Department for offering this service and hope our citizens will take advantage of it,” Mayor McMillan said.

In order to have your yard debris picked up, you must contact the Clarksville Street Department at 931.472.3350 extension 3353 or 931.645.7464 or e-mail debris@cityofclarksville.com.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan is encouraging Clarksville residents to take advantage of a service offered by the Street Department to help keep Clarksville clean.
