Hands-on components teach appropriate serving size, test your flexibility and balance, and more! Through May 5th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women Painting Women<\/strong><br \/>\nIn celebration of Women&#8217;s History Month, this exhibit features thirteen contemporary female artists who paint primarily figurative work. Most of these award-winning women are from Tennessee. March 7th through May 12th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trousseau<\/strong><br \/>\nVintage clothing and other ladies&#8217; items throughout several decades are on display in this Women&#8217;s History Month exhibit. Opens March 7th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men&#8217;s Image of Women<\/strong><br \/>\nThis photography exhibit explores the subject of women by various male artists. Opens March 7th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Vision of Herbert Baggett<\/strong><br \/>\nSee folk art sculptures by local artist Herbert Baggett. His figures of animals, &#8220;bird-trees&#8221;, and &#8220;kid-racks&#8221; have been whittled out of cedar wood.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New to the Collection<\/strong><br \/>\nRecent acquisitions to the museum&#8217;s collection are on display in Heritage Hall, including pieces by Hunt Slonem and Margaret Evangeline.<\/p>\n<h3>Activities<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Let\u2019s Find: Birds<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>March 13th &amp; 14th, 10:30am\u201311:30am<\/strong><br \/>\nChildren 3 \u2013 5 years old and their grown-ups are invited to explore the museum from a child\u2019s perspective. This month we will be looking for Mr. Baggett\u2019s birds. We will also read a story and make a craft. This activity is free to museum members. Non-members pay the regular adult admission of $7.00, plus $1.00 per child 3 years and older. Siblings are always welcome.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday Family Fun: A Hare-Raising Afternoon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>March 10th, 1:00pm\u20135:00pm<\/strong><br \/>\nWe\u2019re celebrating rabbits in honor of Hunt Slonem\u2019s painting, \u201cHutch,\u201d in the museum lobby \u2013 better known to the kids as the \u201cBig Bunny\u201d painting. Please join us this Family Day for some happy, hopping rabbit crafts and stories. This activity is free with your paid admission or museum membership. For more information contact Sue Lewis at 931.648.5780.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Celebrating the Strength of Women: A Women\u2019s History Month Celebration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>March 16th. Tickets $20.00. RSVP by March 13th to Linda Maki at 931.648.5780<\/p>\n<p>11:00am\u20141:00pm &#8211; Brunch provided by The Choppin\u2019 Block<br \/>\n12:00pm\u201412:30pm &#8211; The Role of Women During Wartime &#8211; Krista Castillo, Director of Fort Negley Visitors Center, will discuss the roles women played during the Civil War, WWI, and WWII.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Great Women Artists Film Series: Georgia O&#8217;Keefe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>March 21st, 12:10pm<\/strong><br \/>\nFree Admission. In the Museum&#8217;s Turner Auditorium.<\/p>\n<p>The Museum will be closed Sunday, March 31st for Easter.<\/p>\n<h3>About the Customs House Museum<\/h3>\n<p>Located in the heart of historic downtown Clarksville, Tennessee, the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center is the State\u2019s second largest general museum.
