Ellen Taylor in the College of Education was elected vice president.<!--more-->Drs. Carter F. Smith and Jeffrey P. Rush, faculty members in the department of public management and criminal justice, attended the 2012 NGCRC 15th International Gang Specialist Training Conference from July 23rd-25th. Both provided several presentations related to gangs and organized crime in the community.<\/p>\n<p>Smith was also an invited presenter to the Tennessee Alliance for Children and Families, Eighth Annual Education Conference \u201cAchieving Success in the Face of Adversity,\u201d held June 13th in Nashville.
