The City of Clarksville Parks &amp; Recreation Department along with Manna Caf\u00e9, L.E.A.P. Organization, Workforce Essentials, Miller-Motte Technical College, BFS Insurance, DBS &amp; Associates Engineering, S.A.T.<\/p>\n<p>Entertainment, and Coca-Cola\u00ae will be offering extended hours and lots of great activities at two Parks &amp; Recreation facilities as a part of the Mayor\u2019s Summer Night Lights program. Summer Night Lights is free and open to youth and families of all ages.<\/p>\n<p>Summer Night Lights features two locations of summer fun, the Kleeman Community Center and the Burt-Cobb Community Center coupled with Dixon Park. Festivities at the Kleeman Community Center occur every Thursday from 6:00pm to 9:30pm and include basketball games, fitness classes, organized games and more!<\/p>\n<p>The Burt-Cobb\/Dixon Park site, located at 1101 Franklin Street and 117 South 10th Street, offer outdoor basketball games, other organized games and more, each Friday evening from 6:00pm to 10:30pm.<\/p>\n<p>Summer Night Lights takes place weekly, through Friday, August 3rd.<\/p>\n<h3>\u201cThe Help\u201d Wins People\u2019s Choice<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-76166\" title=\"Movies in the Park\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/Movies-in-the-Park-200x132.jpg\" alt=\"Movies in the Park\" width=\"180\" height=\"119\" \/>The ballots have been counted and the winner of this year\u2019s \u201cpeople\u2019s choice\u201d movie is \u201cThe Help\u201d- rated PG-13. The movie will begin at dusk at Movies in the Park at Heritage Park soccer fields, Saturday, July 21st.<\/p>\n<p>Come early to save your spot and check out \u201cmove before the movies\u201d which will feature a walk in the park and Tae Kwon Do. Thank you to all who voted!<\/p>\n<h3>Summer Youth Program comes to a close<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-79740\" title=\"Summer Youth Program\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/Summer-Youth-Program-200x200.jpg\" alt=\"Summer Youth Program\" width=\"160\" height=\"160\" \/>The City of Clarksville Parks &amp; Recreation Department\u2019s six-week Summer Youth Program will come to an end Friday, July 13th. The day-camp type program which is offered each summer to youth ages 6 to 16 at no cost will end the program with a free outdoor movie showing of \u201cHappy Feet 2\u201d at Heritage Park, July 13th from 6:00pm to 10:00pm.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the end of program movie showing, The Roxy Regional Theatre\u2019s Summer Playhouse will hold a special performance July 12th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Roxy where participants will be able to show off their dance and improvisation skills they have mastered over the course of the theatre workshop.<\/p>\n<h3>Acoustic Night at Jammin\u2019 in the Alley<\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-124873\" title=\"Jammin in the Alley\" src=\"http:\/\/www.clarksvilleonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/jammin-in-the-alley-2012-200x189.jpg\" alt=\"Jammin in the Alley\" width=\"160\" height=\"151\" \/>The City of Clarksville and U.S. Bank will soon be jammin\u2019 once again, Friday, July 20th in downtown Clarksville\u2019s Strawberry Alley. This month\u2019s free concert will feature a medley of acoustic artists to include Michael Jacobs, Lydia Walker, Rebecca Forehand, Freight Train, and Dustin Overbeek. Free concerts take place every third Friday of the month thru October and begin at 7:00pm.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the live music and market vendors, downtown restaurants will offer outdoor dining for Jammin\u2019 in the Alley and night market patrons.
